We have arrived! I would say the first day was a success. After a smooth bus ride through the rolling hills of Utah, Wyoming, and a tiny bit of Idaho, we arrived at the Teton Science School. The students were quickly taken in by the unique beauty of a school campus that sits in congruence with nature and the warmth of the enthusiastic instructors. After a quick rundown of the rules and regulations, we headed out for a quick ski. As usual, the instructors were impressed with how great the "Park City kids" are at XC skiing.
Our evening program, "Communication Chaos" focused on teamwork and leadership. The students were challenged to complete various tasks in teams. It was great to see the different roles that individuals took on as the evening progressed. I look forward to seeing the application of these skills in the field tomorrow.
