This trip came up so quick! It didn't really kick in that I was going to the Teton Science School for five days, until I was on the bus actually driving. Although I was nervous on how the whole trip would go, I am stoked I went. We went on hikes through trees and went cross country skiing on the slopes. We got lots of great exercise and got to meet new friends. I learned about tracks of animals and learned several new acronyms and will be happy to teach my friends and family at home about everything I learned. They will be jealous that they didn't get to go!
As I said before, we did a lot in five days. Since two of the days were travel days, we had to cram a bunch of activities into three full days. For instance, we went snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and had a night hike! The night hike although it wasn't a really long hike, it was really fun! We got to see swans at night and had to use our natural night vision. We accomplished this natural night vision by staring into a flash light for a good long minute while one eye was covered by your hand. Once you lifted your hand, the whole night lit up. It was so cool!
All of this was an experience that none of us will ever forget. We all got to know people that we we had never known before and never would have gotten to know if it hadn't been for this trip. We had an awesome finale party on the last night to celebrate all of our accomplishment and progress we had made in the week. We danced and sang and then we went back to our dorm and hung out, and played games and had a great last night. Then Daniel Holzrichter, Claire West, and Easton Barber decided that at 11:00 at night would be the absolute best time to do their mandatory blog assignment, that they had all week to do.
