"MOOSE!!!" Somebody screams. Instantly, nine people's hands fly to their heads, making antlers with their palms. "Moose, moose, MOOSE!" they all shout back. "What the heck?!" says an innocent bystander.
Those crazy moose-people-hybrids are the kids in my field group. (If you couldn't tell, our group name is Moose.) Over the course of this week, we have been spending full days - like 9:00 to 4:00, 7 hour days - together. That's a lot of time to be spending with the same people, but I didn't mind one bit. Even though I only knew one or two of them to begin with, I steadily got to know each person, and got to like them, too. One of my favorite parts of this trip was getting to make new friends, and being forced to spend whole days with new people definitely helped accomplish that. I did love it, though. :)
